The event is social as well as surfing, and it's always fun to hang out on the cliffs.

Not the way I wanted to end the contest. After surfing really well, and making the finals, I screwed up, tried a big move, and ended up against the rocks on the inside. And swam. Oh well. It was almost the end of the heat, so it likely didn't change the outcome.
